Research

http://www.wikipedia.org/
'Digital Security' gives individuals the freedom to embrace the digital lifestyle – to confidently engage in everyday interactions across all digital devices. Digital security affects all aspects of the digital lifestyle, which, among others, comprises computers and the internet, telecommunications, financial transactions, transportation, healthcare, and secure access.

The Digital Security is mostly based on how everything you do in the computer. The kind of pictures you post. What kind of information you post in the social networks. For what I understand is that the internet is like a big big city in technology so its as easy an as dangerous. Its important to know if your computer have a firewall and to get a antivirus.

Project, Partner

My project is about digital security. I'm working with Ilse and I'm very happy because I know that shes going to make the best out of this. The digital security is based on how you use the internet. If you have security then you use it properly:)

Create

Create, progress

The problem on my project was to make the definitons short and to learn them easily for the 6th graders. I try to read the whole information but I would exclude some information that is important too. I even ask my aunt and she told me that I should compare information in a website so I went to www.google.com and I searched the Design Cycle Investigate and I checked all the websites and there was one for like little kids that it even had pictures the website was www.dhe2learners.com/keybdib/investigate.html and I found the information. I didnt copy the whole words NO I phrase them in my own words.

Create, progress

The flipbook is coming good. Specially the ideas. I have the defenitions and I'm trying to make them short. What I really want to do is to sumerize them with out leaving out any information, but short and simple because if I make the information really long then they are going to say or think that is boring and they are going to just forget and not pay attention. The problem is that maybe they can get confuse since the information is to short.

Design Cycle Questions

1. What is the problem you need to solve? We need to explain the entire design cycle to a 6thgrader that is not familiar at all with any of the design cycle or concepts.
2. How does the Design Cycle apply to the real world? The design cycle applies to the real world because in the real world we will be faced with problems, possibly in work, and we will need to know how to handle it and organize it.
3. How will this project serve my community? This project will serve my community because by teaching other people about the Design Cycle will make them more productive and eventually help everybody.
4. How can my learning help my community? My learning can help my community because one day if I create something following the Design Cycle, it could potentially make one’s life easier or improved.
5. How do we live in relation to each other? We live in relation with each other because everything we do effects the world where we all live.
6. How does this help others? This helps others because if one person can do something good then everyone benefits.

Investigation

Today I researched a flipbook. I found in one of the websites that you had in your page different ideas, information. Right now I haven't decided what but I think plan A. The is a great idea do a flipbook it has colors and I have good ideas.

Reflection

My project is about the flipbook. I stayed up to 2 in the morning all day. My flipbook erased more than 2 times. The program is hard and difficult. You have to take your time step by step if you want. You need to be really patient . But if you mess up once then you can keep going. Its really dificult but it takes alot of time. I don't have a regular mouse I had to use the one in my laptop. I have a mini lap top so its even harder my computer didn't have any battery the first time so it turn off and everything erased. The second time I wasnt aware of the whole concept of the slides thing so a messed up.

Investigate

My other option for how to explain the design cycle is the comic master. I would love to do the comic master because little kids love it. Especially the boys. I would make  something created that would make 6th graders like it. With obviously a hero. I would probably make the hero or get it from a real comic book.  If a get a hero from a comic book it will copying and there are not going to like it. Its better if a make my own hero. A girl and a boy.
I rated the background a 5 because its really easy and simple. It just go with the theme. You just put whatever is in your mind. Because the attention is in mostly to the character how they act and what they are doing.

Investigate

I brainstorm ideas. My ideas are the Flipbook and the ComicMaster. The Flipbook is a fun and creative idea. 6th graders would enjoy both. But I think the Flipbook is better because it has more colors and more movement. Like a video.
I gave the character a 3 because what character can I use? I dont really know what type of character can I use. I might use spongebob but spongebob its bad for kids. An educational character would help. A cartoon character like dora or diego would help them learn and it would help them and it would capture their attention. Or probably I'm going to create my own character. Like a monster or something like that.
The character I'm going to create is going to be colorful and I'm going to use pictures of cartoon that 6th graders like. First I'm going to draw one in my notebook. Gather information about the character or create false information. As an introduction thats my idea tell a sentence of the character or a very short paragraph that stands out.
The background is something really important. Is where 6th graders are going to capture attention. I want my background to be simple but pretty. That's why a gave it a 3 because its going to be difficult and the problem is that I wanted simple. But I'm going to try my best. Make a good background but at the same time simple and pretty.
The rate for the simplicity is a 5. To create Flipbook? is the easiest way. I been in the website and made one. Its as easy as using paint, the program my little sister uses it when she's bored. I'm so good at making Flipbooks you only have to put colors together but you have to be very careful because the lines are unpredictible.
